Wheat Yields Decline in Nano DAP Experiment

The current investigation was carried out by the scientists of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU)) to find out an alternative nano dia-ammonium phosphate (DAP) in comparison with conventional nitrogenous fertilisers. They find that nano DAP may work much less well, specifically for wheat. These questions are being asked as well regarding nano urea, another type of nano fertilizer.

Study on Nano DAP in India

  • Decrease in Wheat Yield: No of farmers adopted nano DAP— wheat gain yield decreased by ` 16.1% for these farmers
  • Plant Growth:Plants were little bit shorter in nano DAP (78.63 cm average).
  • Composition of a nano DAP: The discovery for the replacement with outdated product, DAP was promoted;
  • The research in this work: Nano DAP-fed plants, Traditional only whether it is by the combo of Currencies or feeding all treated.
  • Nutrient Uptake Comparison: Plants absorbed less nutrient when applied nano DAP, 17.58kg/ha of nitrogen and phosphorus (Table).
  • Government Fertilizer Strategy: Reduction in imports, cut back subsidies and promote judicious use of fertilizers.
  • More study should be needed to understand the impact of nano DAP in sustainable agriculture and food security.
