DRDO Test-fires Missile From Warship With Indian Navy

Successfully Flight-Tested by the Indian Navy & Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO) of India — Vertical Launch Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (VL-SRSAM) The test, which was a new advance in the India's missile technology, conducted at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur, Odisha.

• Fired from a land-based vertical launcher, the missile successfully engaged an airborne and high-speed target at a low altitude, thereby demonstrating its military readiness. •
• The test was conducted to ascertain the technical performance of missile upgraded components Proximity Fuse and Seeker in fine-tuning accuracy and improve effectiveness.
• Tracking and Monitoring with advanced systems like Radar Electro-Optical Tracking System (RADAR EOT) and Telemetry.
