Over in the Sea of Japan, a huge naval exercise between China and Russia is now underway under the name "Ocean-24." Of course, this military cooperation is merely a surface-level proof of the improved relations between U.S. and India; one that could imply potential shifts in alliances and increasingly realigning global order as well.
The Ocean-24 Naval Drills
- Naval drills of the size not seen in 30 years More than 400 warships, almost a hundred thousand troops and around one hundred planes.
- Currently operates in the Pacific, Arctic, Mediterranean and Caspian Sea regions.
- Contains elements of increased military cooperation between Russia and China, especially given the presence of Chinese troops.
- Employed to protect objectives such as countering mass sea attacks, opposing unmanned ships and aerial systems, naval base defense; conducting amphibious ops & troop transport ship protection.
- This could affect alliances among Western nations and even defense strategies worldwide, partly in response to joint exercises.
