"Exercise SWAVLAMBAN SHAKTI," a significant exercise, is being carried out by the Indian Army's Sudarshan Chakra Corps in the Babina Field Firing Ranges close to Jhansi. The goal of this exercise, which ends on October 22, is to use new and sophisticated technology to enhance the Army's fighting capabilities.
Exercise NTE (New Technology Equipment) of Indian Army
Objective:
- Develop future Army formations to account for NTEs in attack plans
Participants:
- 1,800 troops 210 tanks and armoured vehicles other special cars and air planes participate.
Techniques Showcased:
- 50+ different NTEs created in collaboration with over 40 Industry Partners.
Key technology areas under evaluation include:
- Swarm Drones:Drone teams collaborating on a variety of activities
- Kamikaze Drones:Drones made to collide with objects
- Handheld Drone Jammers :Tools to prevent drone operation
- Robotic Mules: Robots that transport supplies
- Guided Precision Aerial Delivery Systems (GPADS) : systems that aid in the precise delivery of goods.
- Directed Energy Weapons: energy-based weapons, such as lasers, as opposed to conventional bombs or bullets.
Focus on Local Development:
- Emphasises the need of indigenous defence production, particularly in drones and Anti-drone systems.
- Acts a ground for young entrepreneurs as well as MSMEs to showcase and check their innovations.
About the Sudarshan Chopra Corps
