Jaipur Walled City Heritage Conservation Project

Jaipur: The Walled City of Jaipur became the official UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. This means the historic district is now listed as a place of special cultural or architectural significance. The Indian government too has an allocation of ?100 crore towards its promotion and containment. The entire funds will go towards preserving the city's rich heritage of architecture and culture besides improving infrastructure.

Jaipur historical Significance

  • Famous for its pink structures and grid pattern.

  • Seeks to create more order and beauty in the streets of Lima

  • Retains history and culture to continue being identified as an ancient city.
