B Srinivasan, the next director general of NSG

The Indian government has appointed B Srinivasan as the new Director General of National Security Guard (NSG) a day after Nalin Prabhat was transferred. Prabhat has been appointed as the Special Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir.

• B Srinivasan, 1992 batch Bihar cadre IPS officer will head NSG till his retiring towards the finish of Aug31, 2027
• Nalin Prabhat, former DG of the NSG has been posted to Jammu and Kashmir police as Special DG.
• The National Security Guard (NSG) was led by Anish Dayal Singh, the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), on an interim basis before Srinivasan.
