CSIR-NIIST Launches Ayurveda Research Centre

In Pappanamcode, Kerala, the CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) will establish a new Center of Excellence in Ayurvedic Research. This center's objective is to evaluate and test Ayurvedic goods scientifically in order to satisfy worldwide standards. Union Minister for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh will introduce this project as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations for CSIR-NIIST.

Kerala–Ayurvedic Medicine Research Center

  • Seeks to make sure Ayurvedic medicines are safe, effective and of quality all over the world
  • Provides MSMEs for production of Ayurvedic products through modern scientific methods.
  • Focused on enhancing products and competitiveness in the world wellness industry.
  • Merge of Ayurvedic tradition of Kerala with contemporary science to fulfill global health care requirements.
  • Targets growth in part of industry sectors such as optoelectronic devices and energy technologies by developing performance chemicals and sustainable polymer materials.
  • The assembly is organizing a meeting on "Ayurveda for today and tomorrow: Bridging the tradition with innovations".
