September 11, 2024 The BRICS Literature Forum 2024 opened in Kazan, Russia. The event was inaugurated formally by Mr. Ilsur Metshin, the mayor of Kazan and all the major literary luminaries from BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) were present in this festival.
"World literature in the new reality. Dialogue of traditions, national values, and cultures" . is the topic for this year. discussion of customs, national ideals, and cultural practices. It demonstrates how distinct traditions and cultural values may coexist via literature from different nations, even in the face of global concerns.
Literary offerings from India at BRICS Literature Forum
Key Participants:
- The event was attended by Sri Madhav Kaushik, President; Dr. K. Sreenivasarao, Secretary of Sahitya Akademi in India along with authors from 61 countries.
- Kaushik emphasised the value of literature in not only sketching a different scenario to life but also uniting people and societies.
- The panel discussion "Meet the Authors from India – 'Volga to Ganga: Celebration of Tradition & Multiculturalism'" was about Indian traditional literature and the Russian counterpart.
- Both speakers had an emphasized standpoint on the significance of multiculturalism and used literature as a manner to help encourage dialogue and knowledge about other cultures.
