Drive "Dust-Free Delhi"

Lt Governor V K Saxena launched 'Dust-free Delhi', an ambitious project in the wake of spiralling pollution levels here. This effort is in place to help reduce fresh air pollution and improve winter season quality of the air.

Know About The Air Pollution Causes And Solutions In Delhi

Main Causes:

• A significant amount of air pollution is due to road dust, with most emanating from dry weather and no rain.

Agencies Involved:

• Municipal Corporation of Delhi ( MCD), Public Works Department (PWD), and Delhi Jal Board (DJB):- to synergize efforts — road dust.

Interagency Coordination:

• MCD / IFCD & DJB will synergized for optimal resuming operation and cost-effective practices.

Strike Offence Oversight and Monitoring:

• P K Mishra-led task force to look into Delhi's preparedness for air pollution.

A complete layout for the Pollution Management Plan:

• The task force will also go through actions to be taken against stubble burning, vehicle emissions, construction dust pollution in the cities as well and solid waste management could come up again along with diesel generator emissions.
• The aim is to control the air pollution crisis and, in particular, mitigate health hazards due to pollution by winter capital (Delhi).
