The first Mpox test approved by the WHO for use in emergencies

Most recently, the Alinity m MPXV assay received World Health Organization (WHO) authorization to help expand access to Mpox (formerly monkeypox). The change, announced October 3 at a time when the demand for quick and precise testing is ramping up amid an uptick in Mpox cases - especially where outbreaks are happening.
