The 2025 QS Asia University Rankings are now available. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) is now the country's top university. It is ranked 44th in Asia overall. This is a significant accomplishment that demonstrates IITD's intellectual prowess. Notable improvements have also been seen in the rankings of other Delhi institutions.

- IIT Delhi is the top rank in India and ranks 44 in Asia among all the universities it has surveyed.
- The university has enhanced it with eight performance indicators of the Pt scheme, namely staff with PhDs, faculty-to-student ratio, international research network, etc.
- DU has been ranked 81, now up from 87, and has scored 9.5 for the faculty-student ratio and 71.1 for staff with PhDs.
- Others are also making progress, such as Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), which is today ranked 110. This shows that this university is gaining repute in the higher learning institutions.
- Jamia Millia Islamia has risen its rank to 188th, which shows different efforts put into improving the academic standard and global performance.
- IIT Bombay and IIT Madras come next at 48th rank and IIT Delhi at 56th rank while retaining sound academic credentials.
- From 308 universities, IIT Delhi tops the Southern Asian list, proving the existing dominance of Indian universities in the regional list.
