The Pacific Islands Forum Holds Its Annual Meeting

The Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) held in Nuku'alofa, Tonga on August 26, 2024 is attended by approximately delegates from nearly countries Climate change and growing American-Chinese rivalry are probably the two most-discussed issues of this year.

  • Established in 1971, made up of 18 Pacific countries including Australia and New Zealand as well as Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Tonga.
