Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will launch a novel project named "Writers' Village" (Lekhak Gaon), which is located close to Dehradun. This celebration, which honors literature and creativity, represents a significant cultural turning point in India.
Writers' Village: India: First-of-its-kind
Writers Village—a space for writers and artists, 24 km from Dehradun.
- To develop literary and artistic talent in the village.
- Inaugural: 3-day International Literature, Art & Culture Festival opened by dignitaries
- Over 65 countries will be represented on the festival stages by writers, artists, and cultural figures.
- There will be 30 sessions at the festival on writing techniques, discussions about culture and nature, dance, and art.
- Writer's Village Name inspired by Ex. Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was concerned about the pathetic scenario of writers in India.
- Library, mediation and yoga center, auditorium & Himalayan Museum
- Accommodation for writers in exclusive writing cottages, Sanjeevani Bhojanalaya and Nakshatra Vatika and Graha Vatika for contemplation.
- The village aspires to be a center for literary and cultural activities with regular events, writing workshops, and writers-in-residence.
