2024 India Water Week

The 8th India Water Week was formally inaugurated in New Delhi by President Smt. Droupadi Murmu Time: September 17–20, 2024 The event was attended by Union Ministers, foreign dignitaries and experts who felt that water conservation is as important for India, what it is to the entire world.

Importance And Events Of India Water Week

• India Water Week as slight for water conservation and promoted awareness.
• This Datathon, with 18 sessions, will bring together water experts, technocrats and practitioners from the country to deliberate various aspects of water management for knowledge sharing.
• President Murmu of J&K said: It is our shared responsibility to make every young person an active participant in water conservation for future generations.
• Union Minister C. R. Paatil says global cooperation is needed for water crisis 
• The event honours grassroots work around water conservation and power of individual initiative with stories like Ujiaro Bai and Lakmen Mary Nongkhlaw, the Water Warriors.
• An exhibition displays cutting-edge solutions in water management.
• Global Water Leaders Plenary and Country Forum to facilitate international collaboration for sustainable water conservation and management.
• Friday-Cultural Program-end of the 1st day, a fitting closure on theme of working together for sustainable water management.
