Tripura Launches T-Nest, Its First Premier Startup Incubation Hub

T-Nest to Strengthen Innovation Ecosystem in Northeast India

Tripura inaugurated its first flagship incubation and innovation centre, T-Nest (Tripura: Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Startups), at Hapania in Agartala. The facility was formally launched by Manik Saha under the Tripura State Innovation Mission, in the presence of Jitendra Singh . The initiative is aimed at building a structured startup ecosystem and positioning Tripura as an emerging innovation hub in the Northeast.

Strengthening the Startup Ecosystem

T-Nest is conceived as a central convergence platform linking government departments, academic institutions, industry partners and investors. The hub will offer incubation facilities, mentorship support, networking avenues and funding access for early-stage ventures.

By providing structured guidance and infrastructure, the initiative seeks to promote locally developed, scalable enterprises and encourage youth-led entrepreneurship within the state.

Northeast as an Innovation Frontier

During the launch, emphasis was placed on the Northeast’s expanding role in India’s economic growth, supported by enhanced rail, road and air connectivity in recent years. Improved infrastructure has strengthened trade integration and market access, creating favourable conditions for innovation-driven development.

The establishment of T-Nest aligns with broader national efforts to integrate the Northeast into India’s startup and digital transformation agenda.

Strategic Collaboration

An MoU was signed with T-Hub , enabling Tripura’s startups to connect with national-level mentorship networks and innovation ecosystems. The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, exposure to advanced incubation models and access to wider markets.
