Sweden–India Technology and AI Corridor Launched at AI Impact Summit 2026

On the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the IndiaAI Mission and Business Sweden signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) to expand bilateral collaboration in Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies. The understanding aims to enhance trade linkages, promote innovation ecosystems and stimulate cross-border investment flows between India and Sweden.

Sweden–India Technology and AI Corridor (SITAC)

A key outcome of the agreement is the launch of the Sweden–India Technology and Artificial Intelligence Corridor (SITAC). The corridor will function as a structured platform connecting governments, startups, industry leaders and academic institutions from both countries.

Planned activities under SITAC include sector-specific conferences, thematic workshops, innovation ecosystem exchanges and field visits to technology hubs. The corridor will also identify joint research, development and investment opportunities in high-impact sectors.

Focus on Responsible and Applied AI

The collaboration builds on longstanding India–Sweden relations and reflects shared priorities in deploying AI for economic growth and sustainable development. Both countries have emphasised responsible AI frameworks that incorporate ethics, transparency, accountability and risk mitigation.

The IndiaAI Mission seeks to strengthen domestic AI capacity through improved access to computing resources, datasets and skilled human capital. Sweden contributes expertise in advanced industrial automation, research-driven innovation and sustainable technology solutions.
