Technology and Coordination Drive Focus at GRP Meet 2026

The 7th All India Conference of Government Railway Police (GRP) Chiefs concluded at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, under the convenorship of the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The conference was chaired by Director General, RPF, Sonali Mishra, with participation from Directors General of Police, Additional Directors General and senior GRP officers representing States and Union Territories. Senior officials of the Railway Board, including the Chairman-cum-CEO, were also present.

The platform is designed to connect researchers from the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) with start-ups, investors and policymakers, enabling large-scale deployment of scientific solutions. The exhibition will be open to visitors on 26 and 27 February.

Global Food Innovation Conference ANVESH–2026 Begins at NIFTEM-K

The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli (NIFTEM-K), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), will organise the International Conference on Advanced Next Generation Vision for Emerging and Sustainable Healthy Foods (ANVESH–2026) from 26 to 28 February 2026. The three-day global meet is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates from more than 25 countries, including researchers, industry leaders, startups and policymakers.

The inaugural round of negotiations for the India–Israel Free Trade Agreement (FTA) commenced in New Delhi on 23 February 2026 and is scheduled to conclude on 26 February. The discussions follow the signing of the Terms of Reference (ToR) in November 2025, which established the structure, objectives and negotiating framework for expanding bilateral trade and economic engagement.

New Rajasthan Homestay Policy Simplifies Approvals and Boosts Rural Income

Rajasthan’s Tourism Department has introduced the Rajasthan Homestay (Paying Guest House) Scheme – 2026, aimed at strengthening tourism-led livelihoods, promoting rural entrepreneurship and widening local participation in hospitality services. The policy arrives amid sustained growth in visitor inflows, with the state registering a 9.74% increase in tourist arrivals in 2025. Official figures indicate that over 25.44 crore tourists visited Rajasthan, predominantly domestic travellers.
