The Prime Minister of India recently gifted two beautiful silk stoles to the Italian Prime Minister. One was made of Muga silk from Assam. The other was a Shirui Lily silk stole inspired by Manipur’s rare flower. Muga silk is known as the “golden silk” of Assam. It is a rare and precious textile. It comes from a special silkworm found only in the Brahmaputra Valley. This gift showed India’s rich cultural heritage to the world.

India Postpones First International Big Cat Alliance Summit Due to Ebola Concerns

India postponed the first International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit on 21 May 2026. The summit was originally scheduled for 1 June or 1–2 June 2026 in New Delhi. Odisha Makes Electric Vehicles Mandatory for Government Use from June 1, 2026
