Yoga 365 Initiative Launched to Promote Daily Yoga Practice

Ministry of Ayush’s Yoga 365 Aims for Everyday Wellness

The Ministry of Ayush has launched the Yoga 365 initiative to encourage the daily practice of yoga across the country. The campaign was unveiled during Yoga Mahotsav–2026 at Vigyan Bhawan, marking the 100-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026.

Bridging Awareness and Practice Gap

Yoga 365 aims to address the gap between widespread awareness and limited regular practice of yoga in India. While awareness levels exceed 95% in both rural and urban areas, consistent engagement remains low. The initiative focuses on transforming awareness into habit by promoting yoga for physical fitness, mental clarity, and emotional well-being.

Digital Outreach and Accessibility

To expand reach, the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) has partnered with Habuild to provide free daily online yoga sessions. This digital approach ensures accessibility for people across regions and age groups, integrating technology with traditional wellness practices.

Integration with Existing Programmes

The initiative builds on existing programmes such as the Y-Break module for corporate employees, the Common Yoga Protocol for the general public, and therapeutic yoga modules for managing non-communicable diseases. These efforts aim to embed yoga in workplaces, communities, and healthcare systems.

Towards a Culture of Daily Wellness

Yoga 365 seeks to establish a sustained culture of wellness through community participation, institutional support, and digital engagement. Building on the success of International Day of Yoga events, which saw over 26 crore participants in 2025, the campaign aims to make yoga an integral part of everyday life.
