Delhi Forest Department Defines the meaning of tree by law

To help in standardization of tree counting and management in conservation and pruning, the Delhi Forest Department has issued a circular to define the legal meaning of a tree under the Delhi Preservation of Trees Act (DPTA), 1994, to align the legal definition with the actual meaning of the word in practice. That follows disagreements over branches being counted as individual trees.

Vrindavani Vastra to Assam to be Exhibited

Adi Vaani-Tribal language empowerment AI

Beta version of Adi Vaani, a tribal language translation platform built using AI, has been launched by the Ministry of tribal Affairs of India. The roll out, held on the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh celebrations, on 12 January 2010, at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, emphasises the efforts of the government to empower tribals and preserve its language.
