OVERVIEW
India has set a big goal for its defence forces. By the year 2047, the country wants a fully integrated, self-reliant military. This military will be able to operate on land, in water, in the air, in space, and in cyberspace. The plan is called Defence Forces Vision 2047. It was unveiled by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. India aims to raise domestic defence production to ₹8.8 trillion and exports to ₹2.8 trillion by 2047. The roadmap has three phases up to 2047. New forces like a Drone Force, Space Command, and Cyber Command will be created. A powerful missile shield named Mission Sudarshan Chakra is also part of the plan.
