INS Dunagiri Enlists in Indian Navy
The Nilgiri-class (Project 17A) has seen the induction of the INS Dunagiri as the fifth ship in the Indian Navy. This will be a significant milestone in the quest by India to develop modern warships in the country and enhance war security.

The vessel has a Combinable diesel or gas (CODOG) propulsion. This implies that it could use diesel engines at normal speed and then the gas turbines when operating at high speed. It also possesses developed automation systems that enhance performance and minimize manual work.

The INS Dunagiri has potent arms and sensors. It comprises of BrahMos missile which is used in attacking the surface, MF-STAR radar which is used in detection and the MRSAM system which is used in air defence.
