Japan

United Kingdom
-
United States
The European Union also takes part in G7 meetings. It is called a non‑enumerated member, meaning it is not counted as an eighth member but still joins the discussions.
France’s Presidency of the G7 in 2026
The G7 presidency changes every year. The member countries take turns. In 2026, France will hold the presidency. The host country decides the summit agenda and location. The 52nd G7 Summit will be the annual leaders’ meeting under France’s chairmanship.

An ad hoc (special) India-France meeting is also proposed before the G7 Summit. It will be held in Évian to discuss the international agenda and global imbalances.
India as a Special Guest
India is not a permanent member of the G7. But India has attended G7 summits as a guest several times in the past. This invitation is another recognition of India’s growing role in world affairs.
2026: A Busy Year for India
India will also chair the BRICS Summit in 2026. So India will host the BRICS meeting while France hosts the G7. Both are separate international forums with different members and goals.
