France Invites PM Modi to 52nd G7 Summit in June 2026

Overview

French President Emmanuel Macron has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the 52nd G7 Summit. France will preside over the summit in 2026. It will be held from 15 to 17 June 2026 in Évian-les-Bains, France. India is not a permanent member of the G7. But it has been invited as a special guest. The invitation was given during Macron’s visit to India in February 2026. This is a sign of strong India-France friendship.

India makes more than 70% of the world’s jaggery. This makes India the global leader in natural sweeteners. Jaggery, also called gur, is an unrefined sweetener made from sugarcane juice. It keeps many healthy minerals that white sugar loses. Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer in India. Some jaggery varieties even have a GI tag, like Kolhapur Jaggery and Muzaffarnagar Gur.
