Taal Volcano: Latest Eruption

Overview :

Taal Volcano in Batangas, Philippines, produced a four-minute phreatomagmatic eruption after magma met water. The event sent ash about 450 metres into the sky. Scientists continue to monitor the active volcano because frequent eruptions can threaten nearby communities, affect air travel, and create serious volcanic hazards for surrounding regions.

EPFO New Rule 2026

The Centre notified the new EPF Scheme, 2026 on 29 June, replacing the 1952 scheme. The mandatory employee contribution now applies only up to the statutory wage ceiling of ₹15,000 (₹1,800 monthly). Any contribution above this becomes voluntary. Employers need not match extra contributions. Withdrawal rules are also simplified.

WhatsApp Username Rollout
