the case with transmitting a physical object.

Cancer Treatment Advanced Hydrogel.

The team of the IIT -Guwahati and the Bose Institute, Kolkata has come up with an enhanced injectable hydrogel to treat localised cancer.

This hydrogel is used as a safe storage of anti-cancer drugs that releases it gradually, avoiding damaging healthy cells.

These Hydrogel will carry out drugs directly to the tumour site which makes the localised action.

Hydrogels are the three-dimensional networks of polymer that absorb and retain water-based fluids.

They are biomedical, since they imitate the living tissues with their unique structure.

Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, Javelin.

India and the US have already declared that they intend to proceed with the new procurements and joint production agreements of Javelin anti-tank guided missiles.

FGM-148 Javelin is a very sophisticated American-made anti-tank guided missile system.

It is the man-portable, shoulder-fired, anti-armour system, which automatically steers to the target following firing.

It can reach a range of 2.5 km with good effect.

Perovskite LEDs

Indian scientists have invented a new way to reduce the movement of the anions in the perovskite nanocrystals.

It will deal with such challenges as sensitivity to heat and moisture or colour instability.

Perovskite is a family of material that shares the same type of crystal structure as CaTiO3 - Calcium Titanate.

Perovskite LEDs that combine the merits of OLEDs and QLEDs.

GG Tau A System

The triple-star system was found by Indian astronomers and it is referred to as GG Tau A.

It is about 489 light-years away from the Earth.

It is a birthplace of young planets and contains a swirling ring of gas and dust referred to as a protoplanetary disk.

The temperatures of the disk at its mid-plane were observed to fall as low as 12 K to 16 K--far lower than the freezing point of carbon monoxide.

The GG Tau A system is a three-star system which is approximated to be one to five million years.

VSHORADS Trials

DRDO has been able to make three consecutive flight-trials of Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS).

VSHORADS is an indigenously developed and designed Man Portable Air Defence.

The missile system can support the requirements of all the three arms of the Armed Forces, viz. Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

Hemophilia Human Gene Therapy.

The Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore has managed to implement a first-in-human gene therapy using lentiviral vectors against the disease.

Haemophilia is a serious bleeding disease, it is a deficiency of the clotting Factor VIII.

It is causing spontaneous internal and external bleeding.

India has the second-largest burden of haemophilia in the world.

GLP-1 receptor agonists

GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) are new drugs that are used to treat diabetes and obesity.

They are first discovered in the treatment of diabetes, act by stimulating the secretion of insulin and inhibiting the release of glucagon, thus assisting to control of blood sugar.

These drugs now also stimulate the reward system of the brain, which is a part of addiction.

Gold to be extracted in hybrid aerogel.

IISER Pune researchers have created a new hybrid aerogel that can be used to extract gold easily in electronic waste.

It may actually be employed in the e-waste management in addition to reducing the strain on the unsafe mining procedures.

During daytime, the hybrid aerogel was able to harvest 1689 mg / gram and 2349 mg / gram of e-waste and blue light respectively.

In recent years, the amount of electronic waste generated in India is increasing exponentially, despite the country having only 6.4 per cent of the global share.

The production of e-waste increased by 131 per cent between 2020 and 2022.

It has been estimated by the global e-waste monitor 2020 report that e-waste in India is increasing and will reach up to 74.7 million tonnes by the close of this decade.

TOI-6038A b

The scientists of the Physical Research Laboratory in Ahmedabad had discovered a giant planet larger than Earth but smaller than Saturn.

TOI-6038A b is a dense sub-Saturn size planet with a mass of 78.5 Earth masses and a radius of 6.41 Earth radii in a broad binary system.

TOI-6038A, belongs to a binary, as well as a K-type companion, TOI-6038B.

It takes 5.83 days to complete one rotation around a metal-rich and bright F type star.

An F-type star is a kind of star which is hotter and brighter than our Sun but not as extreme as the hottest stars in the universe.

It is placed at A-type (hotter), and G-type (similar to our Sun) on the star classification system.

It is
