L-T–ITOCHU Green Ammonia Deal Boosts India’s Clean Energy Export Strategy

Overview

Larsen and Toubro has entered a long-term contract with ITOCHU Corporation to deliver 300,000 tonnes of green ammonia every year, which is a significant move towards India becoming a clean energy exporter to the world. The project shall be implemented using L&T Energy GreenTech out of a proposed plant in Gujarat.

India Aims to achieve one blood centre, in each district, by December 2026.

India has established a national objective of ensuring that at least one blood centre in every district is in place, by December 2026, to provide timely access to safe blood, and reduce the risks associated with transfusion. A recent survey by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed that almost 10 percent of the districts are still without a blood centre, which is revealing some important gaps in the healthcare infrastructure.

Defence Ministry Signs Rs975 Crore Deal to Boost Tank Minefield Breaching Capability

The Ministry of Defence of India has entered into contracts totalling almost Rs975 crore to improve the minefield-breaching ability of the Indian Army tanks T-72 and T-90. The procurement is on complex TRAWL assemblies, which are designed to enhance battlefield mobility and operational readiness especially in high-risk, mine-infested areas along sensitive borders.
