Amit Shah Flags Off 400 CG Dial 112 Emergency Vehicles in Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah flagged off 400 emergency response vehicles for the CG Dial 112 service in Chhattisgarh on 18 May 2026. He also inaugurated 33 mobile forensic science laboratories during his visit to the state. The move aims to strengthen public safety, emergency response, and scientific crime investigation across Chhattisgarh.

CG Dial 112 Expanded Across Chhattisgarh

Dial 112 is India’s integrated emergency response number for police, fire, medical, and disaster services.

The CG Dial 112 system in Chhattisgarh was earlier active in 16 districts. Now, the service has been expanded to all districts and police stations in the state.

The expansion will help people receive faster emergency assistance in both urban and rural areas.


400 Emergency Response Vehicles Added

The Chhattisgarh government added 400 new emergency response vehicles to improve policing and public safety.

These vehicles will support:

  • Quick police response
  • Medical emergencies
  • Fire emergencies
  • Disaster response
  • Crime control operations

The vehicles are part of the state’s modern emergency response network.


33 Mobile Forensic Science Laboratories Inaugurated

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also inaugurated 33 mobile forensic science laboratories.

Each district in Chhattisgarh received one mobile forensic unit.

These laboratories are vehicles equipped with scientific tools used for:

  • Crime scene investigation
  • Evidence collection
  • Scientific examination
  • Faster forensic analysis

The mobile units will help police teams process evidence quickly and improve criminal investigations.


Event Held in Raipur

The flagging-off ceremony took place at the Police Training School in Raipur.

The event was part of Amit Shah’s three-day visit to Chhattisgarh from 17 May to 19 May 2026.

Senior officials and police officers also attended the programme.
